Leadership

Founders Associate

Munich Full-Time Reports to CEO

Summary

We’re looking for a Founders Associate to join HeyCharge and serve as an extension of our founding team. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership on strategic, operational, and special projects — investor materials and market analysis one week, internal process redesign or a product launch the next. If you’ve ever wanted a front-row seat to how a venture-backed startup actually scales, this is it.

This is a high-leverage problem-solver role: you take ownership, figure things out, and make things happen. One week you’re refining a financial model or preparing for a board meeting; the next, you’re coordinating a product rollout or rebuilding how information flows across teams. You bring structure to ambiguity, clarity to decisions, and speed to execution — and you make the founders better by being the person they trust to run with the ambiguous things.

About HeyCharge

HeyCharge makes EV charging work in places it was never supposed to — underground garages, multi-tenant buildings, and any other concrete-and-rebar environment where cellular signal goes to die. Our offline-first SecureCharge platform uses Bluetooth for local session authentication and Zigbee mesh for inter-charger load management and cloud sync. No internet required at the charger; no compromise on reliability or billing accuracy.

We’re Munich-headquartered with team members across Germany, Ukraine, and the US, selling into property managers, utilities, and OEMs across Europe, the US, and Latin America. Our partners include Vonovia (Europe’s largest residential landlord), Easee and Emobi. We’re backed by Y Combinator and EU innovation funding, with a culture that’s Google-rooted on engineering, AI-first and automation-first on operations, and allergic to bureaucracy that doesn’t earn its keep.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic initiatives. Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on cross-functional projects that need an owner before they have a function.
  • Fundraising and investor relations. Support the Series A — research, materials, meeting prep, follow-ups, data room.
  • Internal alignment. Coordinate priorities, OKRs, and key company processes so the company runs at the pace its strategy requires.
  • Cross-functional analysis. Support operations, product, and finance with data-driven analysis and process improvements.
  • Communication. Create presentations, reports, and dashboards that translate complex ideas into clear narratives.
  • Wildcard. Jump into urgent problems or opportunities — wherever leverage is highest. The role is defined by the gaps, not the title.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and communication skills; you can go from spreadsheet to slide deck without losing the thread.
  • Background in business, engineering, finance, or a related field. Consulting, VC, or startup experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working across functions — strategy, product, ops, finance, and tech.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and resourceful — you get things done even when the path isn’t obvious.
  • Tech-savvy and data-curious; experience with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, HubSpot, and automation platforms is a plus.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and is genuinely comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Personal Characteristics

  • Builder mindset — you create order, structure, and systems that make life easier.
  • Ownership mentality — you take responsibility and see things through without being asked twice.
  • Automation-first — you instinctively look for ways to remove repetitive work rather than just doing it faster.
  • Discretion — you handle sensitive information with care and professionalism; you sit next to the cap table without making it weird.
  • Adaptable — you’re comfortable in a high-growth, ever-changing environment, and not afraid to jump into finance or ops tasks when needed.

Closing

If you want to see how a venture-backed startup actually scales from the inside — and you’d rather be the person who makes the decisions stick than the person who watches them happen — we’d love to hear from you. Bring your curiosity and your appetite for owning the ambiguous things.
